Actively Seeking Job Opportunities’ as Linkedin Status !!

Many a times, many of us discover Linkedin connects with the status stating that they are actively seeking new job opportunities. The question to ask ourselves is ‘Would you hire someone whose status reads something like this?

It is well known fact that recruiters want to recruit passive job seekers and not someone who is desperately seeking a change. Most recruiters seek people who are happy with their jobs and doing well. The ones looking for jobs are never their target audience and are often construed as the ones who are not doing well. This is quite akin to rich getting funding while their poor counterparts are overlooked.

As a resultant those desperately looking for jobs don’t find one despite efforts.
